For the last 17 years, Celia has practiced in the areas of international business, intellectual property, corporate law, business succession planning and estate planning and administration. Her primary focus has been serving family owned businesses and acting as general counsel for midsize corporations. The majority of Celia's international law practice has centered on representing the business needs of her Chinese clients. Before joining Fried & Davis, Celia worked as attorney in Portland, Oregon, where she represented clients both domestically and internationally. Celia has returned to return to her native Pittsburgh, where her family has had roots since the Civil War. To this day, Celia retains the majority of her Oregon clients as she knows the value of a long term relationship between a client and a trusted legal advisor and respects her clients' needs and goals. Having performed fiduciary services as a trustee and having administered multi-million dollar estates, Celia is well-positioned to assist her clients with their various estate planning needs. She has experience in creating plans for taxable estates, protecting the assets of nontraditional partners, litigating trust and probate issues and handling conservatorship and guardianship issues. Celia is capable of helping clients with all of legal issues affecting their valuable brands. She advises clients on domain name registration and has successfully represented clients in the ICANN domain name dispute resolution process. She is also experienced with the trademark registration systems both at the state level and with the USPTO.
